January 2008.
Danielle Yoon was selected to the Southern Zone Training
Camp in North Carolina. . . .Dad's Club swimmers rang
in the new year by grabbing a 5th place finsh at the the
Aggie open meet. . .Shelby Bottoms, Catherine Wagner,
Lilly Marrow, and Carleigh Kutac flew to Oklahoma City
for the Chesapeake Elite meet which features several world

The Dad’s Club Swim Team, Inc. is proud to announce that
it has acquired the ownership of the property at 1006
Voss Road from the YMCA. We are enthusiastic as we look
forward to continuing and expanding the programs currently
offered such as the water aerobics, learn to swim programs,
the summer league team and the Special Olympics team and
many others, as well as offering additional programs benefiting
not only health, fitness and aquatics, but the Spring
Valley community as well.
Our short
term and long terms goals also include making the needed
improvements to the property and the buildings. Ownership
is not without the challenges of responsibility and commitment,
both of which the DCST are ready and willing to accept.
As we move ahead and work to continue
the rich traditions of the Dad’s Club, we look forward
to working with our members and volunteers as well as
those of you may wish to volunteer your services and time
as needed.
A new chapter has begun in the history of the Dad’s Club
and we expect many more exciting chapters in the future!

| The Dad's Club Swim Team,
which began in 1948, is one of the nation's most established
swimming organizations and is nationally recognized for
its rich tradition of swimming excellence and innovative
programs offered to its membership. |
Novice swimmers through
Olympians are exposed to an exciting and challenged training
environment where each individual strives to reach their
fullest physical and mental potential, and fulfill their
competitive dreams.
Team spirit, positive
self-image, self-discipline, and good sportsmanship are
just of few of the important qualities that the swimmers
of the Dad's Club are known for. |
The Dad's Club tradition
of excellence is well documented. Six Olympians, over
25 swimmers representing International Teams, and 76 USA
National qualifiers highlight the club's elite level achievements.
At the state and regional levels numerous USA Junior National
finalists and qualifiers, as well as several high school
record holders were developed in the program.
The
Dad's Club Swim team takes pride in the fact that the
young swimmers continually excel at meets at statewide
and local competitions. Many of these outstanding age-groupers
have become state champions, and have combined for 13
Texas Age Group Championship banners. |
